Roof Rust Repair with Duragrade Color

The roof of the 2008 F-150 is showing rust though the factory paint. This customer contacted us to see which product would be best for his application.  For this application we recommended the DuraGrade Color, Rust Inhibitor, in Black. To extend the life of this roof, he simply sanded the area smooth, removed any lose flaky rust or paint, then cleaned the area. He then applied the minimum 2 coats of DuraGrade Color in Black. This is what he had to say:

“Dear Rust Bullet,

Just to let you know that I’ve completed the roof recovering of my son’s 2008 F-150, and it has turned out great!  In fact, the second coat of DuraGrade black went on just about two hours ago, and it looks great.  I peeled off the blue masking tape and all that was left was a nice shiny roof!….

…..I’ve attached the “finished product” images…the completed application of Rust Bullet DuraGrade black to the roof of my son’s 2008 F-150.  The roof was finished off this past weekend with a coating of Meguiar’s Carnauba Wax.  The wax went on easy, and really came off easy too.  I was a bit worried that the wax would remain in the some of the smaller pockets, etc…but nope. “
